Although clear, they have a top end that does not integrate well with the rest of the speaker and it stands out. It is a cleaner, more nimble sound than the 603 but thinner sounding overall. The 603 has a bass heavy sound, making it sound boomy or bloated in many systems. The CDM is just the opposite.
