Openfoam backward scheme
WebBackward- second order implicit and potentially unbounded transient scheme. By default the simpleFoamOpenFOAM solver will be used for incompressible flow problems with fixed time steps and pimpleFoamif adaptive time stepping is selected. For compressible flow type problems the rhoCentralFoamsolver is used instead. WebWe use the backward time scheme which is implict, second order accurate, conditionally stable but not guaranteed boundedness. We modify the controlDict file to change the time step to dt=.01 sec and modify the fvSchemes file for ddtSchemes to backward.
